Description
We are looking for a couple to stay in a charming mud brick cottage which has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, large living area and large deck.
The 75 acre property is mostly bush with around 7 acres of paddock. The property is alive with native animals: kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, and birdlife come around every day to feed on the lush grass and enjoy the ambience. This sitting would suit someone who loves wildlife, perhaps photograpy. There are also many native flowers to delight those who love to roam the bush.
There will be no pets. We’d ask you to help out by caring for the cottage and its immediately surrounding 1000sqm or so, eg keeping the grass mown as we come into spring. We’ll arrange to keep the rest of the paddock mown, no need for you to do it. We’d also ask you to attend to the roads if they need it, by cleaning out the gutters occasionally.
The cottage is the building on the right of the first photo. It has hot / cold water, air conditioning, and a slow combustion stove. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster and jug. BYO cooking facilities, eg BBQ, or borrow our frypan. There is a portable outdoor fireplace, and campfire cooking is also possible. The property is 6km by dirt road from the Fuel East Lynne store. Access is best with AWD / 4WD vehicle. Electricity, water and internet are provided. Telstra mobile coverage is available. The road to the cottage would not suit a motor home or caravan. There is a site on the property to park a caravan but that site doesn’t have power and water and is not visible from the cottage.
We have moved out from the building on the left of the first photo, and have the property on the market. The timing of the sitting is flexible, it could take us a while to sell! All the best, we look forward to hearing from you!
