About
From the title, you may have guessed I was recently a teacher and primary school principal. But now, it’s time for me to make new friends as I travel around this wonderful country! I’m new to housesitting on my own, but have previously sat with a friend. I am somewhat of a ‘neat freak’ and own an investment unit which I maintain scrupulously, as I do my own residence. I prefer sits without animals, but would consider cats. I am an animal lover, but more of the wild kind, rather than domestic. I’m a non-smoker. As part of my employment, I have the necessary checks including National Criminal History Check, which is reviewed every 5 years, and the regular Police Check. My job involves dealing with multiple government organisations and adhering to various confidentiality and privacy laws and requirements. I treat other people’s property with the respect and care I treat my own home, if not with greater care. Now that I have begun retirement, I hope to complete several successful sits to gain the references and experience most homeowners will want, so my first few sits will establish my reliability and trustworthiness. I’m looking forward to meeting new homeowners and establishing positive friendships within the housesitting community.
