Hello,
We are looking for a sitter/s to take care of our home and pets while we take a brief holiday for 2 weeks. The dates are approximate as yet but will be confirmed in the near future and will only change by 1 or 2 days. We are looking at the 10th to the 24th Oct 2025.
We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – Lara (13yo, female de-sexed) – Lara is an inside dog going outside for toilet breaks and a walk if you are outside as well. As she suffers from some insecurity she will sleep on the foot of the bed with you. She is a loving and affectionate dog to anyone who will spend time with her. Should you desire to go away for a few hours during the day or night she has an inside area where she is happy to spend her time. We have one indoor cat – Clover (12yo, female, de-sexed),
Clover (the cat) prefers to be left alone and will come to you when she wants attention.
Some of the daily chores include feeding the pets; cleaning the kitty litter; keeping the backyard clean of dog droppings; re-freshing the drinking water for the cat and dog; giving the dog a quick brush; watering the potted plants and vege garden every few days if necessary; and putting out the rubbish bins once a week. We have an above ground swim spa however there should be no upkeep required while we are away. Further it may not be up and running while you undertake the sit.
We will provide a detailed document to help with the care of our pets and home, so you don’t have to remember everything.
Our home is a low set four bedroom brick house on one acre. There is an outdoor alfresco area where you can enjoy your morning cuppa with country views. You will have your own bedroom, bathroom and toilet.
Kingsthorpe is located just 20 minutes from Toowoomba and is at the gateway to the Darling Downs. There are many attractions that can be visited within a couple of hours drive from our home. We can provide a list of what to see around the area if you would like.
We would prefer to meet you and you meet our furbabies before we leave if possible. This will allow us to run through the details and for you to ask any questions.
There is room for a caravan in the front yard if you are already travelling however we request you utilize the room inside the house so Lara and Clover are well looked after.
We ask that you do not have anyone else stay overnight without prior approval from us.
