Needed: Farmsitter from 29th May – 4th August
Temora district, NSW. Small beef cattle enterprise.
Duties would include caring for domestic animals including one indoor cat, two outside dogs, chooks, and ducks. This mostly involves feeding, watering, (all) releasing & locking in at night time (ducks & chooks). We would also like a little yard maintenance to be done as needed eg lawn mowing & edging. There may be vegetable that need picking, which you are welcome to enjoy along with eggs from the chooks.
Overseeing beef cattle herd: depending on how the season develops, the herd may need moving to a different paddock & feeding a bale or two of hay. Ability to feed out hay using a tractor is desirable. Help could be arranged for these duties.
There is an electric buggy & farm ute available for your use on farm.
It can be quite cold here over the winter. You are welcome to park up with a van & use water & power as required, with laundry & bathroom available. We are also open to people staying in the house which is nice & cosy, with reverse cycle split system air conditioning as well as the option of (enclosed) wood fires.
We have great neighbours and will supply contact details for any help that may be required.
The farm is 15-20minutes from the town of Temora, with larger centres near by. Young is 50 minutes away by car. Wagga Wagga is about 80 minutes drive. There are plenty of places to explore in the area during downtime.
