Description
We are looking for a caring sitter experienced with looking after a little menagerie of furry friends including horses. We have a 4.5 acre property at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, with a clean, comfy, smoke free 4 b/r home. Property has a sand menage, stables with 2 horses (gentle clydesdale and a sweet mini), inground pool and outdoor entertaining area with large dam and lots of open space.
We require a sitter for 8 nights in February to feed and care for our pets – 3 dogs (black lab is an indoor dog and 2 outdoor dogs that are a beagle and bloodhound). We have 3 chilled cats, a lovebird in a cage, 8 duckies in a large pen with their own pool and the 2 horses. Feeding only takes about 20 minutes in the morning (7.30am) and the same again in the late afternoon (about 4ish), sitters need to know how to fit a halter and be comfortable leading horses a short distance (20m). Cats need a few nibbles during the day and their kitty litter needs a scoop out.
Located 10 minutes to the beach for a swim (Port Phillip Bay), 25 minutes to the surf beach (Point Leo), close to shops, cinema and restaurants.
Our folks live in a second, separate home on the property and can help out a little if required (may even take the lab for us) but won’t get in your way at all, and our 19 yr old daughter will pop in here and there as she preps for uni and can help with anything that pops up, otherwise the sitter will have full use of the home and property.
